Returning from the success of her storming 2020 single ‘Peach Stone’, Indoor Foxes (Martha Barr) has released her latest tale of emotion with ‘Mr. Yellow Eyes’, a chronicling of separation and nostalgia that offers both tenderness and resolute determination in equal measure.

‘Mr. Yellow Eyes’ calls back to the mature tones of The Delgados and Ride and masterfully blends them with more modern influences, such as Girl In Red, to give the track a fresh and current feel. Within the tracks lies a hopeful buoyancy combined with an undercurrent of anxiety and doubt, epitomised by the unease that permeates through the lyrics (“ But now his yellow eyes are grey / And I’ve lost all sense of the place we made “).

Indoor Foxes has effortlessly maintained her exciting momentum into 2021 with ‘Mr. Yellow Eyes’, a number of locked-down romanticism and mellow sentimentalism. Listen below!
